En estos días que los niños tienen vacaciones es importante que estén ocupados de una manera sana y divertida. En algunos supermercados como Aldi o Lidl, nos ayudan mostrándonos manualidades para hacer con ellos. Y con una ventaja, son gratis. En este caso, he elegido crear unos contenedores de alimentos para jugar que vamos de compra a las tiendas o supermercado. In these days that children have holiday is important that are occupied in a way healthy and funny. In some supermarkets like Aldi or Lidl, help us showing some easy crafts to make with them. And with an advantage, they are free. In this case, I have chosen to create some food containers to play that we go to the supermarkets. Colgando botas de Navidad con cinta washi - Hanging Christmas socks using washi tape

He empezado con la decoración de Navidad para nuestra casa. En una pared, he colocado tres botas de fieltro usando cinta washi en color verde. Las botas son un regalo de mi amiga S. En este rincón, he usado los colores clásicos, rojo y verde para mi decoración Navideña.

I have started with my Christmas decoration for our home. In a wall, I have placed three felt boots using washi tape in green color. The boats are a gift of my friend S. In this corner, I have used the classic colors, red and green for my Christmas decoration.

Tarjeta Infantil de Navidad - Kid's Christmas card

Mi hija quería colaborar en la tarea de hacer nuestras felicitaciones de Navidad, ¡qué ilusión hacer manualidades con ella! Para hacer sus propias postales, ella ha pintado de manera libre usando lápices tres láminas de cartulina. Cada lámina tiene un color diferente: azul, rojo y verde, respectivamente. Después he usado dos motivos navideños de publicidad como plantilla para dibujar una bola y un muñeco de Navidad. Los he recortado y hemos escrito:"Feliz Navidad 2016", en Español y Neerlandés usando un bolígrafo de tinta dorada. ¡Sus primeras felicitaciones de Navidad! ¡Genial!

My daughter wanted to collaborate in the task of making our Christmas' cards , what illusion make crafts with her! To make her own cards, she has painted of free way using pencils on three sheets of cardboard. Each sheet has a different color: blue, red and green, respectively. Then I used two Christmas drawings of publicity as template to draw a Christmas's ball and and a snowman. I have cut them and have written: "Happy Christmas 2016", in Spanish and Dutch using a pen of gold ink. Her first Christmas' cards! Great!

San Nicolás (Sinterklaas, en Neerlandés) es quién trae los regalos para los niños en Países Bajos. Es una bonita tradición. Lo más típico es reunirse en casa, para abrir los regalos que ha dejado San Nicolás y cada persona lee un poema sobre lo qué le ha sucedido en el año que va a acabar delante de los otros miembros de la familia. Uno de los regalos más simpático, son las letras de chocolate con la inicial de tu nombre. Para mí esta rica letra "S" de Silvia, ¡qué rica!

Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas, in Dutch) is who brings gifts to children in the Netherlands. It is a nice tradition. The most typical is to meet at home, to open the gifts that St. Nicholas has left and each person reads a poem about what has happened in the year that will end in front of the other members of the family. One more nice gifts, they are the letters of chocolate with the initial of your name. For me this rich letter "S" of Silvia, delicious!

Bolsitas de té y de Rooibos - Tea and Rooibos bags

En una tienda en Bélgica, hace unos meses, he visto este corazón hecho con bolsitas de té. Me gustó esta idea y he querido hacer algo similar para un regalo de Cumpleaños, pero usando Rooibos en lugar de té. Primero, he escrito detrás de un plato de cartón: "Felicidades por tu Cumpleaños", luego, he colocado unas bolsitas de Rooibos y forrado con celofán. Como sugerencia, puedes completar este regalo con unas galletas, unos bombones, una taza..., lo que te parezca mejor.

In a shop in Belgium, some months ago, I have seen this heart made with tea bags. I liked this idea and I wanted to do something similar for a birthday gift, but using Rooibos instead of tea. First, I have written behind of a paper plate: "Congratulations for your birthday", then, I have placed few sachets of Rooibos and wrapped with cellophane. As suggestion, you can complete this gift with some biscuits, some chocolates, a cup...as you find better.

He comenzado a preparar mis postales de Navidad. Este año, utilizo papel craft, pegatinas de madera de renos, cinta washi tape roja y bolígrafos de color rojo y plata. Primero, pego los renos, después, escribo el texto: "Feliz Navidad" y por último, pego un poco de cinta washi tape, para decorar el borde de la tarjeta.

I have started to prepare my Christmas cards. This year, I use paper craft, wooden stickers of reinders, red washi tape and silver and red pens. First, I stick the reinders, later, I write the text: "Merry Christmas" (in Spanish) and as last step, I stick a bit of washi tape to decorate the edge of card. Do you like it?

Reutilizando caja metálica - Reusing metal box

Hace unos años nuestros amigos P y C., nos regalaron esta caja de mazapanes Alemanes. Después de comerlos, lavé y guardé esta caja metálica, porque me pareció divertida esta forma de maleta. Ahora la he reutilizado para guardar algunos restos de plastilina de mi hija. Creo, que se mantiene más fresca la plastilina que en otros materiales.

Few years ago our friends P &C., they gave us this box of German marzipan. After eating them, I washed and kept this metal box, because this form of suitcase seemed fun. Now I have reused to save some remains of playdough for my daughter. I think, that keeps more fresh the playdough that in other materials.

Mi hermana O, me regaló esta bolsa de merienda para que mi hija la llevara al Colegio. Hace unos días, se ha roto. No sabía cómo repararla de manera bonita. Mi madre que siempre me ayuda mucho, me la ha reparado cosiendo una cinta en un color similar. Me gusta mucho el resultado. Mi hija puede seguir usándola de nuevo, ¡genial!

My sister O., gave me this snack bag so that my daughter takes it to her school. Few days ago, it has broken. I didn't know how to repair it of a nice way. My mother who always helps me a lot, has repaired it sewing a ribbon in a similar color. I really like the result. My daughter can continue using it again, great!

En la ciudad de Roeselare, en Bélgica, he visto en el escaparate de una tienda de chocolates, cómo han reusado dos gorros de lana de color blanco para mantener el calor de dos teteras. En cada gorro, le haces un par de agujeros, uno en el pico por dónde se vierte el té y otro en el asa y,...¡voilá! Dos bonitas teteras decoradas reusando dos gorros de lana. ¿Te gusta esta idea?

In the city of Roeselare, in Belgium, I have seen in the windowshop of a Chocolate shop how have reused two hats of wool of white color to keep the heat of two teapots. In each hat, you make a pair of holes, one in the spout and another in the handle, you put well the hat and,...voila! Two beautiful teapots decorated reusing two hats of wool. Do you like this idea?

Marionetas de dedo - Fingers' puppets

Hace  unos días fue el Cumpleaños de mi hija, quería hacer un pequeño regalo para los compañeros de su clase, para celebrar su día especial. En su Escuela nos recomiendan no llevar dulces, golosinas o chocolate, porque hay niños con intolerancias alimentarias y no es saludable. He encontrado unas marionetas de dedo en una página web. Después, las he impreso en papel de 180 grs, A4, he recortado una a una, y unido con celo y colocado en un vaso de plástico dónde he escrito: "Marionetas de dedo" y cerrado con celofán y un lazo. Los niños estuvieron contentos y mi hija también, eso es lo importante para mí.

Few days ago, it was my Daughter's Birthday, I wanted to make a little gift for the classmates of her class to celebrate her special day. In her school, they recommend to us not to bring sweets, candies or chocolate, because there are children with food intolerances and is not healthy. I have found few fingers puppets in a web site. Later, I have printed them in a paper of 180 grs A4, cutting them one to one, joined with scotcht and putting in a plastic glass where I have written: "Fingers puppets" in Spanish and closed with celophane and a ribbon.
Children were happy and my daughter too, this is the most important for me.

Reutilizando una Caja de Fruta de madera como mesita baja - Reusing a wooden Fruit Box as Coffee Table

En Maastricht (Países Bajos) han reutilizado esta caja de fruta de madera como mesa baja para dejar un cenicero y quizás después, unas bebidas en la terraza de una Cafetería. Pienso que es un buen uso para reutilizar este objeto.

En la ciudad de Den Bosch en Países Bajos, celebran durante este año el 500 Aniversario de fallecimiento de su pintor más famoso, J. Den Bosch. Si tienes oportunidad de visitar la ciudad y las actividades que han organizado por este aniversario, estoy segura que  vas a disfrutar, son interesantes. Como curiosidad, quisiera comentar que he visto que sus habitantes son muy creativos para decorar las Terrazas y las Cafeterías. Por ejemplo, este establecimiento: "Nul73", aparte de ser un sitio agradable para comer algo, tiene una fantástica entrada. Las paredes de la entrada han sido decoradas reusando cuentas de cristal, conchas, bandejas metálicas, dvds y cds, logrando un efecto divertido y artístico.

In the city of Den Bosch, in the Netherlands, celebrate during this year the 500th Anniversary of death of his more famous painter, J. Den Bosch. If you have the opportunity to visit the city and the activities that they have organized for this Anniversary, I am sure that you are going to enjoy a lot, they are interesting. As curiosity, I would like to comment that I have seen that their inhabitants are very creative to decorate the Terraces and the Coffee Shops. For example, this place: "Nul73", apart of being a nice Café to eat and drink something, it has a great hall. The walls of the hall have been decorated reusing crystal beads, shells, metallic trays, dvds, and Cds achieving an amazing and artistic effect.

Decoración de Halloween - Halloween's Decoration

He decorado una mesa, casa usando algunos elementos que tenía en casa. Son: una Blonda de papel,  una Calabaza regalo de mi cuñada y su pareja, una Cinta regalo de mi amiga N., de Alemania y algunas Hojas de Roble Americano. He colocado estos elementos y ¡voilá! Tengo una decoración típica de Otoño con inspiración de Halloween.

I have decorated a table, using some elements that I had at home. They are: a paper doily, a pumpkin given as gift from my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, a purple ribbon given from my German friend N., and some leaves of American oak. I have placed these elements and voilá!I have a typical Autumn decoration with Halloween's inspiration.

La tía de mi marido K.,, trabajaba hasta hace pocos meses en una Residencia para Discapacitados Intelectuales. Allí, cada día hacían varias actividades y muchas manualidades. Una de ellas, es esta bolsa de papel que han pintando con flores y mucho color. Pienso que las manualidades son estupendas para todo el mundo, especialmente si el resultado es tan alegre como este, ¿verdad?

My husband's aunt K., was employed until few months ago at a Residence for Intellectual Disabled people. There, every day they made several activities and many crafts. One of them, is this paper bag that they have painted with flowers and a lot of colour. I think that crafts are wonderful for everybody, specially if the result is so cheerful as this one, isn't it?

Allí había una casita hecha con palitos de helado. Pregunté al Camarero y me dijo que era un regalo de un grupo de Scouts, ¡qué divertido!

Reutilizando Estantería "Havern" de Ikea - Reusing Rack "Havern" by Ikea

He reutilizado la Estantería "Havern" de Ikea, para poner algunos de mis collares, pulseras,... Esta estantería que consta de estante y ganchos la ofrecen en el catálogo de Ikea, en los accesorios para el baño, pero yo prefiero reutilizarla para algunas de mis joyas. No la tengo demasiado ordenada, pero sí  fácil y cómoda para elegir un complemente rápido.

I have reused the Rack "Havern" by Ikea, to put some of my necklaces, bracelets... This rack that consists of shelf and hooks is offered in Ikea's catalogue, in the accessories for the bath, but I prefer reused it for some of my jewels. I do not have it too much tidy, but yes easy and commode to choose one complements quickly.
