Reciclando Hierbabuena - Recycling Mint

Tengo una planta de Hierbabuena y Menta en una maceta en mi terraza. Algunas veces, utilizo sus hojas frescas para añadirlas a una taza de Té, a un vaso de Limonada, a los Mojitos, a algunos postres o a un plato de Coscous. Si veo, que se va a estropear, la seco y la guardo en un bote de cristal con su etiqueta identificativa bordeada de cinta washi tape.

I have a Mint plant of Mint in a pot in my terrace. Sometimes, I use some of its fresh leaves air to add them to a cup of Tea, to a glass of Lemonade, to the Mojitos, to some desserts or to a plate of Coscous . If I see, that is going to get damaged, I dry it and keeps in a glass container with a label surrounded of washi tape.

Reusando una bufanda - Reusing a scarf

En este Invierno, he reusado una bufanda para crear un burlete para la puerta del zaguán, así evito que entre frío en nuestra casa. Para hacerlo he enrollado la bufanda y he fijado este "rollo" con unas puntadas cosidas con hilo blanco. Os muestro dos fotos, una es del detalle de las puntadas y la otra de cómo queda en mi puerta. Por el momento prefiero dejarlo suelto, pero si se prefiere se puede fijar a la puerta usando unas cuerdas o lazos.

This Winter, I have reused a scarf to create a draught excluder for the door of hall (or mudroom), of this way I avoid that the cold weather can entry to our home. To do it I have coiled the scarf and have fixed this "roll" with a few stitches sewed with white thread. I show you two photos, one is of the detail of the stitches and other one of how it stays in my door. For the present time I prefer making it free, but if it is preferred it is possible to fix it to the door using a few ropes or ribbons.

En España, se consumen muchas naranjas. Es una fruta rica para comer al natural y en zumo. Por su contenido en Vitamina C, es muy útil para evitar los resfriados. En casa, en ocasiones las compramos en mallas de 3 o 5 Kgs. He reutilizado esta malla para guardar una pelota, también puede ser reutilizada para guardar los juguetes del baño de los niños.

In Spain, lots of oranges are consumed. It is a rich fruit to eat and to drink in a juice. For its content in Vitamin C, it is very useful to avoid a cold. At home, in occasions we buy them in nets of 3 or 5 Kgs. I have reused this net to keep a ball, it can also be reused to keep the toys for the bath of the children.

Postales de agradecimiento - Thank you Cards

En algo muy sencillo enviar una postal de agradecimiento para decirle a alguien que aprecias lo que ha hecho por tí o por un regalo que ha enviado para tí o para alguien a quién tú quieres mucho, con esta intención he "personalizado" mis Postales de Agradecimiento. He utilizado unas postales de Ikea, unas etiquetas adhesivas blancas que he cortado con una forma especial, realizando una plantilla yo misma y escribiendo la palabra "gracias" en diferentes idiomas con rotulador. Aquí está el proceso de creacción y el resultado.

It is something very simple sending a Thank you Card to say to someone that you estimate what has done for you or for a gift that she or he has sent for you or for someone whom you love very much, with this intention I have "personalized" my Thank you Cards. I have used some cards from Ikea, some white adhesive labels which ones, I have cut with a special shape, making a template myself and writing the word "thank you" in different languages with a black pen. Here is the process of creation and the result.

Now when we begin a new year, is a good moment to decorate some elements that we use often as the pencils. I have painted some stripes in a couple of pencils using nail polish. My pencils are now brilliant and different, great!

Ya se ha acabado la Navidad, pero antes quisiera publicar una foto de decoración de Navidad que ví en diciembre del 2012, en un pueblo llamado Santa Fe, en la provincia de Granada, en la región de Andalucía, España. Es un adorno creativo dónde han reciclado botellas de plástico Pet para crear algo original.
