Narcisos y Huevos de Pascua - Narcissuses and Easter Eggs

Los narcisos son unas flores típicas de Primavera. Hemos comprado una maceta y la he decorado colgando unos huevos de Pascua de color amarillo. Es mi centro de mesa de Pascua. Los huevos son de papel muy fino y casi no pesan, porque sino ¡pobre planta si son pesados! Me gusta el efecto de unir los huevos y el narciso.

Narcissuses are typical flowers of Spring. We have bought a pot and I have decorated it hanging few Easter eggs of yellow color. It is my Easter centrepiece. Eggs are made of thin paper and almost they do not weigh, because but poor plant if they are heavy! I like the effect of joining the eggs and the narcissus.

Mis Postales de Pascua - My Easter Cards

He hecho unas postales de Pascua con unas cartulinas que tenía de medidas: 15 x 10,5 cm, con impresión de lunares blancos sobre fondo amarillo, unas etiquetas adhesivas blancas y unas pegatinas de pollitos. Primero, he recortado las etiquetas adhesivas blancas utilizando como plantilla una etiqueta de forma ovalada. Después, la he recortado y dibujado unas ondas con boli dorado. Por último, he pegado los pollitos y escrito: "Feliz Pascua" en diferentes idiomas, Español, Inglés, Francés, Neerlandés e Italiano. Aquí, os muestro algunas postales y un detalle de una de ellas.

I have done some Easter cards with few cardboards of mesures: 15 x 10.5 cm, printed of white polka dots on yellow bottom, some white adhesives labels and few chicks stickers. Firstly, I have cut the white adhesive labels using as template a label of oval form. Later, I have cut them and drawn some "waves" with a golden pen. Finally, I have stuck the chicks and writing: " Happy Easter " in different languages, Spanish, English, French, Dutch and Italian. Here, I show you some cards and a detail of one of them.

Pisapapeles para el Día del Padre - Paperweight for Father's Day

Hoy, 19 de Marzo es el Día del Padre en España y quería que mi hija diera un pequeño regalo a su papá. Ella, estuvo de paseo hace unos días con su papá por el parque. Mi marido que es su papá, me trajo una trozo de tronco, que se había quedado en el suelo tras la poda del árbol. Lo limpié y lo guardé con la idea de utilizarlo en algún momento. Ahora, he pensado en hacer un sencillo pisapapeles dónde he escrito la frase: "Papá eres el mejor, feliz día del padre" en Holandés, porque es el idioma que hablan ellos dos. Después, mi hija ha "pintado" en un folio y yo le he dibujado el contorno de su mano como "firma". Este papel, lo he usado para envolver el pisapapeles y lo he atado con un trozo de cuerda.

Today, on March 19th  is the Father's Day in Spain and I wanted that my daughter giving a small gift to her dad. She was walking with her dad for the park few days ago. My husband who is her dad, brought me one chunk of trunk, which had remained in the ground after the pruning of the tree. I cleaned it and kept it with the idea of using it in some moment. Now, I have thought to make a simple paperweight where I have written the phrase: " Dad you are the best, happy Father's Day " in Dutch, because is the language that they speak to each other. Later, my daughter has "drawn" in a sheet of paper and I have drawn the contour of her hand as "signature". This paper, I have used it to wrap the paperweight and have tied it with a chunk of rope.

Día de San Patricio - Saint Patrick's Day

 Hoy, celebro el Día de San Patricio, Santo Protector de Irlanda, bebiendo y comiendo algo "Irlandés", una taza de té, una galleta "gigante" de mantequilla y un trébol que he hecho con papel verde dibujado por mi marido. ¡Feliz día a todos y suerte!

Today, I celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, Saint Patron of Ireland, drinking and eating something "Irish" a cup of tea, a "giant" butter cookie and a clover that I have done with green paper drawn by my husband. Happy day to all and luck!

Reutilizando bote de vidrio de café soluble - Reusing a glass jar of soluble coffee

He reutilizado un bote de vidrio de café soluble como jarrón para un ramillete de flores que nos han regalado mi cuñada L. y su novio E., de su propio jardín. Para decorarlo un poco, le he hecho un lazo con algo de paja decorativa. Aquí está el resultado.

I have reused a glass jar of soluble coffee as vase for a bouquet of flowers that have given us my sister-in-law L. and her boyfriend E., from their own garden. To decorate it a little bit, I have done a bow with something of decorative straw. Here is the result.

Día de la mujer - Woman's Day

Hoy, 08 de Marzo, es el día Internacional de la mujer, aún queda mucho por hacer para conseguir la igualdad de las mujeres con los hombres, especialmente en algunos países,... Quisiera desde aquí enviar un mensaje de esperanza a todas las mujeres que están pasando por momentos díficiles mostrando este dibujo. Es un hada que sonrie y que seguro te dará un poco de magia, ahora que lo puedes necesitar, ¡mucho ánimo!
Importante: Esta hada se encuentra en un cuadro que regaló mi amiga, C, de Francia, a mi hija por su Cumpleaños. La realización es de una amiga de C.

Today, on March 08th, it is the International Woman's day, there remains lots of things to obtain the equality of the women with the men yet, specially in some countries... I would like from here sending a message of hope to all the women who are passing for hard moments  showing this drawing. She is a smiling fairy which one, is sure will give you a bit of magic, now that you can need it, cheer-up!
Important: This fairy finds in a picture that gave my friend, C, of France, to my daughter for her Birthday. It is made from a friend of C.

Horquillas - Hair clips

Tenía unas horquillas algo estropeadas. Quería seguir usándolas todavía. Entonces, las he reparado pintándolas con esmalte de uñas negro. Este es el resultado.
