He visto en el Hall del Hotel Ibis Budget de Amsterdam, este curioso adorno para una mesa de café hecho con un bote de vidrio con tapa hermética. Simplemente, han introducido una pequeña planta artificial, dentro de un bote de vidrio y lo han pegado al revés a la tapa hermética. Después le han dado la vuelta y ¡voilá! Así queda de bonito y divertido. ¿Os gusta?

I have seen in the Hall of the Ibis Budget Hotel in Amsterdam, this curious ornament for a coffee table made with a glass jar with an airtight lid. They have simply inserted a small artificial plant into a glass jar and glued it upside down to the airtight lid. Then they turned it around and voilà! So it looks nice and fun. Do you like it?

En la Exposición que se celebró en junio de 2019, en Granada, España llamada: "Re-crea", he visto este curioso vestido creado usando materiales reciclados. El adorno del cuello y la falda están hechos con tela de paraguas, el cuerpo del vestido también con este tejido y además lo han decorado con papel de periódico y cristales incrustados con hilo metálico. Si se os rompe un paraguas en estos días, quizás podéis hacer un vestido similar, ¿verdad?

At the Exhibition held in June 2019, in Granada, Spain called "Re-crea", I saw this curious dress created using recycled materials. The decoration of the neck and skirt are made with umbrella fabric, the body of the dress also with this fabric and also decorated with newspaper paper and crystals embedded with metallic thread. If you break an umbrella these days, maybe you can make a similar dress, right?

Este trabajo, que he fotografiado en la Exposición: "Recrea" en Granada, España, en el pasado mes de  junio de 2019, me parece muy especial. Parece un abrigo de papel de periódico decorado con trozos de cristal y que se cierra con un trozo de plástico a modo de cinturón. También lleva una corona de armazón metálico con cristales como si fueran gemas. Su título es: "Noche de los cristales rotos" y sus Autores son: Celia Sánchez Robles y Jesús Salamanca Navarro.

This work, that I have photographed in the Exhibition: "Recrea" in Granada, Spain, last June 2019, seems to me very special. It looks like a newspaper coat decorated with pieces of glass and closed with a piece of plastic as a belt. It also has a metal-framed crown with glasses as if they were gems. Its title is: "Noche de los cristales rotos" and theirs authors are: Celia Sánchez Robles and Jesús Salamanca Navarro.

He visto en un Restaurante de cocina Italiana cómo han reutilizado un vaso de cerveza de marca "Alhambra" como centro decorativo para las mesas de la terraza. Introduciendo unas piedras en la base, un pequeño tiesto en el interior y atando una cuerda de yute en la base por el exterior, ellos han personalizado este popoular jarrón. También han reciclado otro bote de vidrio para decorar la carta del Restaurante. No he tenido la ocasión de comer en este Restaurante, aunque me gusta bastante la cocina Italiana. I have seen in a Restaurant of Italian kitchen how they have reused a beer glass from brand "Alhambra" as decorative centerpiece for the tables of the terrace. Introducing a few stones in the base, a small pot in the interior and tying a rope of jute in the base on the outside, they have customized this famous vase. They have also recycled another glass container to decorate the lectern where is shown the Restaurant's Menu. I have not had the occasion to eat in this Restaurant, though I like the Italian kitchen enough. Este 2018 se celebra por segundo año la Exposición: “Re-Crea. Exposición de Creación y Reciclaje”, en Casa de Zafra en Granada, España, he visto cómo una Autora ha reusado vidrio de botellas para crear estas bonitas plantas de cactus.  El título de esta obra es: Opuntia Fragilis Albispina y su Autora se llama: Teresa Gavala López-Roberts. This 2018 is celebrated for the second year the Exhibition: " Re-Crea. Exhibition of Creation and Recycling ", in Casa de Zafra, Granada, Spain, I have seen how an Authoress has reused glass from bottles to create these nice plants of cactus. The title of this work is: Opuntia Fragilis Albispina and his Authoress calls: Teresa Gavala Lopez-Roberts. I like it very much.

En el Aeropuerto Gardermoen en Oslo (Noruega), hay una Cafetería-Restaurante, llamado:  Bolgen & Moi Food Garage Gardermoen. Allí me gusta cómo han decorado y separado algunos espacios reutilizando palets, platos de cerámica y botes de cristal llenos y vacíos. Sinceramente, encuentro esta idea divertida, económica y ecológica.

At the Airport Gardermoen in Oslo (Norway), there is a Cafe-Restaurant named: Bolgen & Moi Food Garage Gardermoen. There I like how they have decorated and separated spaces by reusing pallets, ceramic plates and full and empty jars of glass. Honestly, I find this idea funny, economical and ecological.

Mi suegra, me regaló de su jardín un ramo de "Nazarenos" (Muscari neglectum) o Blauw druifje en Neerlandés. Como los jarrones que tengo aquí son muy grandes, he reutilizado un bote de vidrio como jarrón y lo he decorado con un cordón de lana de color fucsia haciendo un nudo. Me gusta la combinación de colores, todos intensos.

My mother-in-law, gave me of her garden a bouquet of "Grape Hyacinth" (Muscari neglectum) or Blauw druifje in Dutch. As the vases that I have here they are very big, I have re-used a glass jar as vase and I have decorated it with a cord of wool in fuchsia color doing a knot. I like the combination of colors, all of them are intense.

I have reused a glass jar of soluble coffee as vase for a bouquet of flowers that have given us my sister-in-law L. and her boyfriend E., from their own garden. To decorate it a little bit, I have done a bow with something of decorative straw. Here is the result.

Voy a hacer un pequeño adorno para una vela para San Valentín. Solo necesito unos 50 cms de hilo de yute, un trozo de papel, un bote de vidrio para reciclar y una velita. Primero, lavo bien el bote de vidrio, después recorto un corazón en el papel y hago un agujero con la ayuda de un sacacorchos. Para finalizar pongo el corazón en el hilo de yute y lo ato al bote de vidrio, coloco la vela en el interior y ya está listo.

I am going to do a small adornment for a candle for Saint Valentine. I only need approximately 50 cms from thread of jute, a chunk of paper, a glass container to recycle and a tea light. First, I wash well the glass container, later, I cut a heart in the paper and I do a hole with the help of a corkscrew. To finish I put the heart in the thread of jute and I tie it to the glass container, place the candle (tea light in this case), in the interior and already it is ready.

He reciclado un potito (tarrito de alimento para bebés) en un mini-costurero para mi nueva residencia en Bélgica. Una vez consumido, lo he lavado y dejado secar. Después, he puesto washi tape de lunares cubriendo la tapa y por último una etiqueta identificativa. Voy a rellenarlo y ¡listo para usar!

I have recycled a baby food jar in a little sewing kit for my new residence in Belgium. Once consumed, I have washed and left it to dry. Later, I have put a dolka pot washi tape covering the lid and finally a label. I am going to refill it and ready to use!

He reciclado un bote de vidrio para hacer un pequeño florero con las plantas que están ahora más bonitas en mi casa, las Hiedras y las Hortensias o Begoñas de Invierno. Primero, he forrado el borde del bote con cinta washi tape, para "esconder" las marcas de cerradura del mismo. Después, he cogido unas hojas de Hiedra y unas flores de Hortensias de Invierno y he rellenado con agua mi jarrón. Algo sencillo y romántico.

I have recycled a glass container to do a small vase with the plants that are now nicer in my house, the Ivies and the Hydrangeas or Winter Begonias. Firstly, I have covered the edge of the container with a bit of washi tape, "to "hide" the marks of lock of the same one. Later, I have caught a few leaves of Ivy and a few flowers of Winter hydrangeas and have refilled with water my vase. Something simple and romantic.

En todas las casas, tenemos muchos botes de vidrio, normalmente los echo en el contenedor de reciclaje para que tengan una nueva vida útil. Otras veces, los lavo y utilizo para diferentes ideas. Por ejemplo, los lleno de conchas como recuerdo de las vacaciones en la playa, añado dulces para darlo como un pequeño regalo, o los uso para guardar una cantidad menor de un producto comprado en gran cantidad como olivas, pan rallado, nueces, pipas de calabaza...

We have lots of glass containers in all the houses, I usually throw them in the container of recycling in order that they have a new useful life. Other times, I wash and use them for different ideas. For example, I fill them with some shells as a nice memory of Summer holidays at the beach, adding some sweets to give as a gift, or use them to keep a less quantity of a product bought in a big quantity as olives, breadcrumbs, walnuts, pumpkin seeds...

He creado unas velas para Navidad con tres vasos de yogur de vidrio. He añadido, unas pequeñas velas y otros elementos a cada uno. Por ejemplo, uno tiene, una hoja de helecho, otro un trozo de lazo rojo y el último tiene un poco de blonda plateada. El helecho mide 20 cms, el lazo 4 cms de ancho y 54 cms de largo. He hecho una moña para fijar el lazo, un poco de fixo para fijar la blonda y la hoja de helecho con una pinza pequeña.

I have created a few candles for Christmas with three yogurt glasses of glass. I have added, a few tea lights and others elements to each one. For example, one has  a leaf of fern, another a red ribbon and the last one has a piece of silver doily. The fern measures 20 cms, the ribbon 4 cms of width and 54 cms of length. I have done a bow to fix the ribbon, a bit of Scotch tape to fix the blond one and the leaf of fern with a small clothes pin.
