Hace unos meses, mi marido ha hecho un puzzle para mi hija con figuras geométricas, reutilizando unos cartones blancos corrugados. Él ha hecho el diseño, luego ha recortado las figuras, hecho la hendidura para que encajen y voilá, un puzzle especial para nuestra hija para aprender figuras geométricas. Few months ago, my husband has made a puzzle for my daughter with geometric figures, reusing some white corrugated cardboards. He has done the design, then he has cut the figures away, made the fissure in order that they fit and voilá, a special puzzle for our daughter to learn geometric figures. Here, I show you the photos of the process of making and the design that he has done. My husband is a great support in these activities of my Blog.

Un Caballito como accesorio para un disfraz y para jugar - A little horse as accesory for a fancy dress or playing

Hace unos meses, hice este caballito para mi hija como parte de una actividad de su Colegio junto a otras Mamás. Ahora, me gustaría mostrarlo porque, puede ser un complemento para un disfraz de Dama o de Caballero de la Edad Media en un juego, o simplemente para divertirse en casa y al aire libre.
Necesitas un palo de recogedor de largo de 70 a 80 cms (según fabricante), este es de 73 cms, planchas de cartón para dar rigidez, cartulina gris, lana negra, pegamento, rotulador negro permanente, cinta adhesiva de doble cara y pistola de silicona caliente.
Primero, haces una plantilla con la plancha de cartón del perfil del caballo y de la oreja. Después con esa plantilla haces los dos perfiles (derecho e izquierdo) del caballo. Con trozos de cinta adhesiva de doble cara, vas pegando las orejas y perfiles del caballo poniendo cartón corrugado entre las dos partes de la cartulina gris. Con esa misma cinta adhesiva de doble cara pegas trozos de lana que serán las crines del caballo. Dibujas el rostro del caballo ojos, brida, nariz y bordes del perfil usando tu rotulador negro permanente. Como podéis ver, esté lleva un poco de colorete, (idea de María del Carmen, una mamá del Cole). Y cómo último paso, pones otro trozo de cinta adhesiva para pegar el palo del recogedor. Por último, para que se quede bien fijo, rematas el interior y todas las partes usando la pistola de silicona.

Few months ago, I made this little horse for my daughter as part of an activity of her School together with other Moms. Now, I would like to show it because, it can be a complement for a disguise of Lady or of Knight of the Middle Ages in a game, or simply to have fun at house and outdoors. 
You need a dutspan's stick of length from 70 to 80 cms (according to manufacturer), this one is of 73 cms,  some of corrugated cardboard to give rigidity, grey cardboard, black wool, glue, black permanent felt-tip pen, adhesive tape of double face and a pistol of hot silicone. 
First, you do a template with the corrugated cardboard of the profile of the horse and of the ear. Later with this template, you make both profiles (right and left-handed) of the horse. With some pieces of adhesive tape of double face, you are sticking the ears and profiles of the horse puting the corrugated cardboard between the two parts of grey cardboard. With the same adhesive tape of double face you stick chunks of wool that will be the manes of the horse. You draw the face of the horse eyes, bridle, nose and edges of the profile using your permanent felt-tip pen. As you can see, this little horse  has a bit of rouge, (idea of Maria del Carmen, a mom of the School). And as last step, you put another chunk of adhesive tape to stick the stick of the dutspan. Finally, in order that it remains well fixed, you finish off the interior and all the parts using the pistol of silicone. Here you have the photos of left profile and right of a pretty horse for the children. Now, it time to play!

En la ciudad de Granada, España, he visto un Restaurante llamado Garden Plaza. No he estado comiendo allí, pero me gustó su decoración. En las siguientes fotos, os muestro cómo han reciclado unos palets para usarlos como bancos, asientos y separadores de espacios.

En la ciudad de Bergen (Noruega), he visto cómo han reciclado una caja de fruta de plástico cómo macetero para cultivar Capuchina (Tropaeolum majus). Es una planta que se usa en ensaladas y para decorar algunas comidas. Es una buena manera de reciclar esta caja, ¿no os parece?

In the city of Bergen (Norway), I have seen how have recycled a fruit plastic box as flower pot to grow Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus). It is a plant that is used as ingredient in salads and also to decorate some meals. It is a good way to recycle this box, don't you think?

Día de la Madre - Mother's Day

Hoy, se celebra el día de la Madre en España, siempre es el primer domingo del mes de mayo. Aquí, quisiera mostrar esta frase que mi madre y mi padre me han dicho muchas veces durante mi infancia y juventud y me han mostrado con su actitud vital. Es: "Nunca pares, nunca te conformes, hasta que lo bueno sea lo mejor y lo mejor sea lo excelente".

Today, is celebrated the Mother's Day in Spain, it is always the first Sunday of the month of May. Here, I would like to show this phrase that my mother and father have told me many times during my childhood and youth and they have shown me their vital attitude. It is: "Never stop, never be satisfied, until the good is the best and the best is the excellent".
