Actividades para vacaciones de Navidad y Fin de Año - Activities for Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve

Para estos días de vacaciones de Navidad, he hecho un par de manualidades divertidas, gracias a la generosidad de algunas personas en internet que las ofrecen de manera gratuita. Lo primero unas marionetas de dedo con el tema de la Natividad y lo segundo unos elementos para jugar a Roleplay o hacerse retratos divertidos o como se dice ahora selfies. El proceso es rápido y los materiales son sencillos. Para las marionetas sólo hay que imprimir los motivos, plastificar y recortar. Para el juego de Roleplay hay que imprimir los elementos, yo uso cartulina blanca tamaño A4 y grosor 185 grs. En la página que he usado, tienes dos opciones para imprimir los elementos de roleplay, en blanco y negro o ya coloreados. Yo he preferido poner yo el color para personalizarlos a mi gusto. Después plastificas los elementos, yo suelo usar plástico adhesivo transparente. Por último, recortas y adhieres unos palitos de helado usando pegamento y celo en la parte trasera de cada elemento para los selfies o roleplay.

These days of Christmas holidays, I have made a couple of funny crafts, thanks to the generosity of some people on the internet who offer them for free. The first craft are finger puppets with the theme of the Nativity and the second one are elements of Roleplay or to take selfies. The making on is easy and materials are easy and cheaper. For the puppets you need just print the motifs, laminating and cutting them. To the Roleplay game you have to print the elements, I use white cardboard A4 size and thickness of 185 grams. On the page that I have used, you have two options to print the elements of roleplay, in white and black, or already colored. I have preferred printing in white and black to customize myself. Then you laminate all the items, I use clear adhesive plastic. Finally, you cut and glues a popsicle sticks or a wooden stick and put a bit of scotch tape in the back of each element for the selfies or roleplay.

En estos días de vacaciones de Navidad, es bueno hacer alguna manualidad con los niños. Mi sobrino ha hecho este árbol de Navidad y este Papá Noël reutilizando rollos de cartón. Mi hija ha hecho un Papá Noël con papel y algodón. Para decorarlos, necesitas un rotulador, lápices de colores, papeles de colores, pegatinas, pegamento y algodón.

In these days of Christmas Holidays, it is good to do some crafts with children. My nephew has made this Christmas tree and this Santa Claus reusing rolls of cardboard. My daughter has made a Santa with paper and cotton. To decorate them, you need a pen, pencils, papers in different colors, stickers, glue and cotton.

In the Ikea's shop from Malaga, (Spain), I have seen this simple picture made with gift paper, laces and cookies Kex used to say: "Merry Christmas" in Spanish. It is a nice idea, isn' t it?

En la Tienda Julehuset en Bergen (Noruega) han reutilizado cajas de fruta de madera para crear una bonita decoración de Navidad con personajes típicos de esta celebración como: gnomos, ángeles, renos, abetos...Me gusta esta disposición de las cajas, espero a vosotros también. In the shop Julehuset in Bergen (Norway) have reused wooden fruit boxes to create a beautiful Christmas decoration with typical characters of this celebration as: Gnomes, Angels, Reindeers, Firs... Postales de Navidad usando pegatinas y confetti - Christmas cards using stickers and confetti

Hemos hecho unas postales de Navidad con mi hija. Hemos usado una cartulina roja de medidas 15 cm de largo x 11 cm de ancho y hemos doblado por la mitad la cartulina. Después, ella la ha decorado pegando pegatinas de colores rojo y verde con motivos navideños. Más tarde, reciclando una caja de cartón de trufas, hemos hecho confetti con forma de estrella usando un perforador. Ahora, sólo nos falta escribir unas palabras bonitas en el interior de la postal, poner el confetti, meterlo todo en un sobre y enviarla a su destinatario.

We have made some Christmas cards with my daughter. We have used some red cardboard of measures 15 cm long x 11 cm wide and have folded the cardboard in half. Later, she has decorated the cards putting some Christmas stickers in red and green colors. Then, recycling a box of truffles, we made some confetti of star shape using a punch. Now, only we need write some nice words in the interior of the card, to put the confetti, to put everything in an envelope and send it to your addressee.

Hoy, Sinterklaas (San Nicolás) ha dejado los regalos para los niños en Países Bajos, Bélgica, Alemania y otros lugares. Es un día alegre para todos. Os muestro estas marionetas fáciles de realizar con fieltro de diferentes colores. Son San Nicolás (izquierda) y su Ayudante Zwarte Piet (derecha).

Ahora, que ha llegado el frío en el hemisferio Norte, es una buena idea ponerse cómoda sentada o tumbada en un sofá con unos cojines, para leer, ver la tv, charlar, tricotar..., o lo que más apetezca. He visto, que los cojines de la serie Tveblad de Ikea, tienen botones de cáscara de coco. Me parece que crear botones para reusar la cáscara de coco es una idea estupenda. Este material es bastante versátil.

Now that the cold weather has come to the northern hemisphere, it is a good idea to get comfortable sitting or lying on a sofa with cushions, to read, to watch tv, to chat, to knit..., or what you most want. I have seen that Ikea has the serie Tveblad for cushions which ones have coconut shell buttons. I think that creating buttons to reused  the coconut shell is a great idea. This material is quite versatile.

Este año, he hecho mis postales de Navidad usando una foto de la Tienda Julehuset- Christmas shop de la ciudad de Bergen, en Noruega que hice durante mis vacaciones. Es una escena que muestra personajes Escandinavos y dónde predominan los tonos rojos, blancos y verdes. Mi marido y yo hemos recortado una cartulina que tiene un lado blanco y otro marrón. Las medidas son: 31cm de largo y 15 cm de ancho. Hemos doblado la cartulina en tres partes como un tríptico, cada uno de 10,5 cm de ancho. Después, hemos recortado una ventana, hemos probado la foto en la parte central, hemos recortado el borde la foto y pegado la foto y luego la hemos tapado con el lado izquierdo. Os muestro el proceso y el resultado final.

This year, I have made my Christmas postcards using a picture of the shop Julehuset - Christmas shop in the city of Bergen, in Norway I took during my holidays. It is a scene showing Scandinavians characters and dominated by the red, white and green tones. My husband and I have cut out a cardboard which has a white side and another brown side. The measures are: 31cm long and 15 cm wide. We have folded the cardboard in three parts as a triptych, each one of 10.5 cm wide. Then, we cut a window, we tried the picture in the middle, we have trimmed the edge photo and pasted the photo and then we glued it with the left side. I show you the making on and the final result.

La Navidad se acerca y ahora es el momento de preparar algunos detalles especiales para estas fechas. He reciclado una caja de chocolatinas que me regaló mi amiga C., para crear algunas etiquetas de Navidad con los personajes que aparecen en ella. Sólo he cortado los personajes, he perforado el cartón para hacer un agujero y colocado un hilo dorado.

Christmas is coming and now is the moment to prepare some details for these special dates. I have recycled a box of chocolates that my friend C., gave me to make as present to create some Christmas tags with the characters that appear on it. I have just cut the characters, made a hole in the drawing and placed a golden thread.

Tenía un saco de mi hija de cuándo era bebé. Ahora, lo he reusado como crear una bata de niña. He quitado la cremallera que lo cerraba y lo he abierto  hasta la parte inferior. He cosido todos los bordes y colocado unos cierres nuevos. Ahora ella lo puede utilizar unos meses más como bata. La primera foto es antes del cambio y las otras dos fotos del resultado final.

I had a sleeping bag of my daughter since she was a baby. Now, I have reused as dressing gown. I have removed the zipper that closed it and I opened it till the bottom. I have stitched all borders and placed a few new closures. She can now use it a few more months as dressing gown. The first photo is before the change and the other two photos are of the end result.

Hace unos meses falleció la abuela materna de mi marido, H., quién era una señora entrañable. Ella nos tricotó y regaló estos dos círculos de ganchillo para que los usarámos como un ambientador para el armario. Son dos círculos que se unen con un poco de cinta dorada y entre ellos se pone un jabón de tocador para que transmita buen olor a los armarios. Una buena idea que os muestro como pequeño homenaje a ella.

Few months ago died the maternal grandmother of my husband, H., who was a charming lady. She knitted and gave for us these two circles of crochet to use as an air freshener for the wardrobe. They are two circles that are joined using a gold ribbon and putting among them a toilet soap to give good smell to the wardrobes. It is a good idea to show here as a little tribute to her.

En la tienda del Museo Nobel de la Paz, en la ciudad de Oslo, (Noruega), he visto cómo han reciclado el aluminio de las latas de bebidas para crear esta jirafa tan especial. Han cortado el aluminio de las latas y lo han ido enrollando en un armazón para crear esta jirafa. Me parece genial y díficil de realizar.

My daughter has made her decorations for Halloween. I have printed a few drawings to make shadows of kizclub on paper size A4. Then, she has colored them, we cut them together and placed under the glass of her table for games.
