Feliz día de Andalucía - Happy Andalusia Day

Hoy es el día de mi región, Andalucía, así que nada mejor que celebrarlo con uno de los tesoros que ofrece esta tierra situada al Sur de Europa, el aceite de oliva.

Reutilizando pinzas de madera - Reusing clothespins of wood

He reutilizado unas pinzas de madera de ropa para cerrar bolsas de galletas, patatas fritas o aperitivos. Es muy sencillo, solo hay que pintar con esmalte de uñas las pinzas y las dejas secar un par de horas. Aquí os dejo fotos de los materiales y cómo han quedado las pinzas. Se pueden utilizar telas o glitter para decorar también las pinzas.

I have reused some clothespins of wood to close bags of cookies, chips or appetizers. It is very simple, it is only necessary to paint them with nail polish and to leave them to dry a couple of hours. Here, I show you some pictures of the materials and about the clothespins. You can also use some fabrics or glitter to decorate your clothespins.

Funda de fieltro para MP3 - Felt cover for MP3

Mi bolso siempre está lleno de cantidad de objetos. He pensado que era el momento de proteger mi MP3. Para ello, he hecho una funda de fieltro para protegerlo. Es sencillo, se corta un trozo de fieltro algo más grande que el objeto que quieras proteger, en mi caso, 22 cm de largo x 8,5 de ancho. Lo doblas y lo coses con la máquina de coser. Unos minutos después ya está listo para su uso. Yo he preferido no decorarlo, pero es una buena idea coser una letras o algún adorno para personalizarlo. Aquí os enseño las fotos.

My bag is always full of quantity of objects. I have thought that it was the perfect moment to protect my MP3. For it, I have made a case of felt to protect it. It is simple, you cut a chunk of felt a bit bigger than the object that you want to protect, in my case, 22 cm of length x 8,5 of width. You fold  it and sew it with the sewing machine. A few minutes later, it is ready for your use. I have preferred not decorating it, but, it is a good idea to sew some letters or some adornment to personalize it. Here I show the photos to you.

Reutilizando Hojas de Arce - Reusing Maple's leaves

He reutilizado unas hojas de Arce, para ponerlas como base en un plato con unas mandarinas (típicas de España) y una piña de Costa Rica. Os muestro los elementos que he utilizado y el resultado, un frutero de Invierno y Otoño.

 I have reused a few Maple's leaves, to put them as base in a plate with some mandarins (they are typical of Spain) and a pineapple from Costa Rica. I show you the elements that I have used and the result, a fruit bowl from Winter and Fall.

Reutilizando una servilleta de papel - Reusing a paper napkin

El papel se puede reusar de infinitas maneras. Con una servilleta de papel, he forrado una libreta para las Recetas de cocina que guiso con más frecuencia. Para evitar manchas, he puesto plástico en el exterior y unos separadores para: Ensaladas / Sopas, Carne, Pescado y Postres.

Paper can be re-used of infinite ways. With a paper napkin, I have covered a notebook for my Kitchen recipes which ones, I cook more frequently. To avoid spots, I have put plastic in the exterior and some dividers being for following items: Salads / Soups, Meat, Fish and Desserts

Marco con nombre para sobrina - Frame with name for niece

Hemos hecho un regalo por el nacimiento de nuestra sobrina, Sterre (Sterre significa: Estrella en Idioma Neerlandés). Hemos comprado un marco rosa fucsia en Ikea, fieltro blanco y hemos realizado unas estrellas usando papel de folletos en tonos rosas.
Primero hemos impreso su nombre utilizando tipografía de letra: "Dutch801 RMBT". Después las hemos recortado y unido con alfileres en el fieltro para recortarlas bien. Un poco más tarde, hemos pegado las letras a papel gris plateado y las estrellas. Aquí está el making off y el resultado. Esperamos que le guste este regalo a Sterre y a sus orgullosos padres.

We have made a gift for the birth of our niece, Sterre (Sterre means: Star in Dutch Language). We have bought a fuchsia colour frame in Ikea, white felt and we have made some few stars using paper from leaflets in pink tones.
First we have printed her name using the typography of letter: "Dutch801 RMBT". Later we have cut away and joined them with some pins in the felt to cut them away. A bit later, we have glued the letters to a silver paper and the stars. Here the making off and the final result. We hope, this gift likes to Sterre and her proud parents.

Tarjetas Vintages de San Valentín- Vintage St. Valentine Postcards

He encontrado una página: "Antiques Guide for About.com", dónde la señora Pamela Wiggins muestra unas preciosas postales vintages para San Valentín. 

He impreso algunas en blanco y negro. Después, he pintado una con lápices de colores para personalizarla y la he pegado a una cartulina roja. ¿Os gusta?

I have found a page: " Antiques Guide for About.com ", where the lady Pamela Wiggins shows some beautiful vintage postcards for Saint Valentine. I have printed some of them in black and white. Later, I have painted one with colors pencils to personalize it and have glued it on a red cardboard. Do you like it?

Pequeños mensajes de amor reutilizando clips y piedras - Small love messages reusing some paperclips and little stones

Es bonito escribir pequeños mensajes de amor reusando artículos sencillos como: clips y piedras. Especialmente, ahora que San Valentín está cerca. He doblado unos clips para que tengan forma de corazón. También, he pintado unas piedras con esmalte de uñas y escrito un mensaje como los sms: "Tqm" (Te quiero mucho) o "I love you" (en Inglés).

It is nice to write small messages of love reusing simple articles like: paperclips and stones. Specially, now that Saint Valentine is close. I have folded a few paperclips in order that they have the form of a heart. I have also painted a pair of stones using a bit of nail polish and I have written a message as a sms: "Tqm" (Te quiero mucho: I love you very much in Spanish) or " I love you ".

Tarjeta de San Valentín - St. Valentine's card

Mi tarjeta para San Valentín es muy sencilla. Yo he encontrado mi inspiración en las poesías visuales, es decir, escribir un poema (en mi caso unas frases, no un poema concreto), creando una forma con la escritura. Mis pasos son: se corta una cartulina roja de 22 cm de largo por 15 de ancho. Después se dobla por la mitad. Con un lápiz hago unos puntos dibujándo un corazón. Siguiendo está línea de puntos escribo con un bolígrafo negro: "Te quiero" en diferentes idiomas. Comienzo por el lado inferior izquierdo hasta completar la forma. "Ti amo" en Italiano, "Je t'aime" en Francés, "I love you" en Inglés, "Te quiero" en Español, "Ik houd van jou" en Holandés, "Ich liebe dich" en Alemán y "S'agapo" en Griego.

My card for Saint Valentine is very simple. I have found my inspiration in the visual poetry, it means, writing a poem (in my case I have just written few sentences, not a particular poem), to write a poem creating a form with the writing. My steps are: I cut a piece of red cardboard of 22 cm of length and 15 of width. Later, I fold it. Using a pencil, I draw some points creating a heart. Continuing this line of points I write using a black pen: " I love you " in different languages. I begin for the lower left side up to completing the form. " Ti amo " in Italian, " Je t'aime " in French, " I love you " in English, " Te quiero " in Spanish, " Ik houd van jou " in Dutch, " Ich liebe dich " in German and "S'agapo" in Greek.

Té para dos - Tea for two

Voy a preparar un "Té para dos", con materiales sencillos: 6 Bolsitas de Té, un par de trozos de cartón blanco de medidas 10 x 10 cms, unas tijeras y fixo. Recortas dos corazones y pegas tres bolsitas de té en cada uno, usando un trozo de fixo enrollado sobre sí mismo para que sea adhesivo por ambos lados, lado del cartón y lado de la bolsita de té. Después lo colocas en una taza junto al azúcar, leche, tetera, y galletitas de forma de corazón. Aquí tenéis las fotos del proceso y del "Té para dos".

I am going to prepare a " Tea for two ", with simple materials: 6 Tea bags, two pieces of white cardboard of measures 10 x 10 cms, a pair of scissors and scotch tape. You cut two hearts shapes and glue on each one three tea bags, using a little piece of scotch coiled on itself being adhesive for both sides, the side of the cardboard and the side of tea bags. Later, you place it in a cup next to a bit of sugar, a jar of milk, a tea-pot, and a pair of cookies of heart shape. Here, you have the photos of the process and arragement of " Tea for two ".
