Hoy, es el día de Andalucía, mi región de nacimiento, en mi país, España, me siento algo nostálgica, a veces, es duro vivir lejos de tu país, pero bueno, mejor mantener la mente y manos ocupadas. En la ciudad de Amsterdam, es curioso, para mí ver que en algunas calles reciclan los bidones de plástico como lámparas. El resultado es innovador, ¿los habéis visto ya?

Mi cuñada J., ha decorado la habitación de su hija. Uno de los detalles que más me ha gustado es que ella ha reusado el Estante especiero "Bekvam" de Ikea para guardar libros y cuentos. Pienso que es una buena idea.

My sister-in-law J., has decorated the room of her daughter. One of the details that I liked more is that she has reused the Ikea's Spice Shelf "Bekvam" to store some books and tales.  I think that is a good idea.

Chocolate y magdalena por San Valentín - Chocolate and cupcake for Saint Valentine

Este año, no he hecho ninguna manualidad por San Valentín, por falta de tiempo, pero sí me apetecía hacer algo especial. Entonces, a primera hora de esta tarde, he preparado una taza de chocolate caliente la cuál, he adornado con nubes (o malvaviscos) y un par de magdalenas que he decorado con gominolas de forma de corazón, ¡ feliz y dulce día de San Valentín!

This year, I have not made any craft for Saint Valentine, I did not have enough time, but yes I would liked to make something special. Then, in the afternoon, I have prepared a hot chocolate cup which one, I have decorated with marshmallows and a couple of cupcakes that I have decorated with heart jellies, happy and sweet St Valentine's Day!

Entre otros detalles, el Hall del Restaurante "Retro" de la ciudad Belga de Izegem, está decorado con cuadros con tapones de botellas de champán. Me parece una decoración divertida y apropiada a este Restaurante.

Escudo de Caballero Medieval reutilizando cartón, papel y washi tape - Shield of Medieval Knight reusing cardboard, paper and washi tape

Mi sobrino tiene un disfraz de Caballero Medieval, pero no tenía un escudo. Mi marido y yo le hemos hecho uno. Aquí, os muestro el proceso parte por parte. Los materiales que hemos usado son: una lámina de cartón, un cilindro de los que van en el interior del papel higiénico, washi tape, papel de regalo plateado, pegamento, unas tijeras, fixo, grapadora y lápiz. Primero mi marido ha dibujado (sin plantilla) el escudo. Entonces, yo he cortado y pegado el papel de regalo en la parte delantera. Después, mi marido ha cortado dos tiras del rollo del papel higiénico, y ha hecho un cilindro con lo que queda y lo ha enrollado, grapado y atado con fixo. Ha metido las tiras en el interior del cilindro y las ha fijado al escudo a modo de asa. Como último paso, yo he decorado este asa con washi tape y también la parte delantera del escudo.
¡Ya está listo para jugar!

My nephew has a fancy dress of Medieval Knight, but he did not have a shield. My husband and I have made one to him. Here, I show you the making off part to part. The materials that we have used are: a piece of cardboard, a cylinder of those who are inside of hygienic paper, washi tape, silver gift paper, glue, a pair of scissors, some scotch tape, a stapler and a pencil. First my husband has drawn (without any template) the shield. Then, I have cut and glued the gift paper on the front part. Later, my husband has cut two strips of the hygienic roll paper, doong a cylinder with the piece what remains and has coiled it, stapled it and tyied it with scotch tape. He has put the strips inside the cylinder and  have fixed to the shield like a handle. As last step, I have decorated this handle with washi tape and the front part of the shield too. It is ready to play!

El Carnaval se acerca, quizás muchos de vosotros os gusta celebrarlo. Este vestido que aparecía en Navidad, en el escaparate de la tienda "Dolciumi" en la ciudad de Roeselare (Bélgica) , puede daros alguna idea para crear vuestro disfraz. Aquí, han usado ramas de abeto para la falda, musgo para el cuerpo y adornos en color dorado, como bolas, cinta y collar. No es necesario usar estos materiales, de hecho, es complicado, pero si resulta bonito en mi opinión.

Carnival approaches, probably many of you you like to celebrate it. This dress that was appearing in Christmas, in the shop window of the shop "Dolciumi" in the city of  Roeselare (Belgium), can give you some idea to create your fancy dress. Here, they have used branches of fir for the skirt, moss for the body and adornments in golden color, as balls, ribbon and necklace. It is not necessary to use these materials, in fact, it is complicated, but it is nice in my opinion.
