Derviches Danzantes hechos reciclando papel de periódico - Dancers Dervishes recycling newspapers

En la exposición: "Recrea"que visité en Junio de 2019 en Granada, España, he encontrado muchos trabajos interesantes creados por varios autores a partir del reciclado de diferentes materiales, dichos trabajos los voy mostrando poco a poco en este blog. Hoy os enseño un trabajo llamado: "Derviches Danzantes" del Autor: Manuel Bravo Aguado. Son los famosos Derviches que danzan originarios de Turquía. En esta ocasión son hechos reciclando papel de periódico. Me gusta mucho cómo ha sabido captar el movimiento de los danzantes este autor.

In the exhibition: "Recrea" that I visited in June 2019 in Granada, Spain, I have found many interesting works created by several authors from the recycling of different materials, such works I show little by little in this blog. Today I would like to show you a work called: "Dancers Dervishes" by the Author: Manuel Bravo Aguado. They are the famous Dervishes that dance from Turkey. This time they are made by recycling newspaper paper. I really like how this author has managed to capture the movement of dancers.

Sencillo disfraz Egipcio para niños - Simple Egyptian Costume for children

En la Escuela de mi hija, hicimos un disfraz fácil de Egipcia hace unas semanas. Los materiales que hemos utizado son: un par de tijeras, una grapadora, una bolsa de plástico blanca de 30 litros, goma elástica blanca tipo cordón y una lámina de goma eva dorada. La plantilla para realizar la banda de la cabeza es de la página web de first palette (ver enlace abajo), el cuello, el cinturón y los brazaletes los hemos hecho un poco adaptados al cuerpo de la niña o niño sin plantilla. Para unir la banda he usado grapas y también para los brazaletes. para el cuello y el cinturón los he adaptado usando la goma elástica. He hecho tres cortes para los brazos y el cuello en la bolsa y cortado la parte de la tira superior, se le da la vuelta porque se va a usar como túnica. El traje se completa con leotardos y jersey blanco de cuello alto.
Este es el resultado para crear este disfraz sencillo.

At my daughter’s school, we made an easy Egyptian costume a few weeks ago. The materials we have used are: a pair of scissors, a stapler, a white plastic bag of 30 liters, white elastic cord and a sheet of golden eva foam. The template for making the headband is from the first palette website (see link below), the neck, the belt and the bracelets have been made a little adapted to the body of the girl or boy without a template. To join the band I used staples and also for the bracelets. for the neck and the belt I adapted them using the elastic cord. I have made three cuts to the arms and neck, I have cut the strip and I have turned the bag, because it has to be worn as a tunic. The suit is completed with leotards and white turtleneck jersey. 
This is the result to create this simple costume.

Actividad sobre el Antiguo Egipto para niños - Activity about Ancient Egypt for children

Hace unas semanas organicé una actividad sobre el Antiguo Egipto para mi hija y mi sobrino coincidiendo que en la Escuela estaban tratando este tema. Hice varias actividades, que os muestro en las fotos y enlaces más abajo. Utilicé los siguientes materiales: lápices de colores, rollos de cartón de papel higiénico, cartulinas, pegatinas, un par de tijeras, pegamento y celo. También, les expliqué un poco de esta importante civilización, gracias a la web del maestro. Hicimos con cartulinas y decoramos un sarcófago, unos adornos para el cabello diferenciando a la niña y al niño, unos jeroglíficos y una pirámide. Después,  les conté el cuento Egipcio de: "Los hijos de Nut" y les hablé acerca del Templo de Debod, que se encuentra en Madrid, y fue un regalo de agradecimiento del pueblo Egipcio al pueblo Español por una colaboración muy especial. Les he mostrado unos regalos que me hicieron unos familiares míos : un escorpión, un par de pulseras decoradas con un escarabajo egipcio, unas esculturas de Faraones y pirámides de plástico. Por último, comimos unas gominolas de forma de cocodrilos y bailamos la canción de Bangles: "Walking like an Egyptian". También podéis ilustrar esta actividad con libros y más vídeos de este tema. Ha sido una tarde divertida.

Few weeks ago I organized an activity on Ancient Egypt for my daughter and nephew agreeing that the School was dealing with this topic. I did several activities, which I show you in the photos and links below. I used the following materials: pencils, toilet paper cardboard rolls, cardboard, stickers, a pair of scissors, glue and scotch tape. Also, I explained a little of this important civilization, thanks to the web: "Web del Maestro".We made with cardboard and decorated a sarcophagus, some decorations for the hair differentiating the girl and the boy, some hieroglyphs and a pyramid. Afterwards, I told them the Egyptian tale of "The Sons of Nut" and told them about the Temple of Debod, which is located in Madrid, (Spanish capital) and it was a gift of gratitude from the Egyptian people to the Spanish people for a very special collaboration. I showed them some gifts that were given to me by family members : a scorpion, a pair of bracelets decorated with an Egyptian beetle, sculptures of Pharaohs and plastic pyramids. Finally, we ate some crocodile-shaped jelly beans and danced to Bangles' song "Walking like an Egyptian". You can add more information about this topic with books and videos about it. It has been a funny afternoon.

Hola a todos, hoy es el día de San Valentín, entonces he decorado una lámpara de mi casa colgando unas imágenes estilo "vintage" de Pamela Wiggins que hemos coloreado mi hija y yo. Para que sea más agradable hemos estado escuchando uno de mis grupos favoritos Españoles, "Amaral", hoy concretamente esta canción: "Te necesito" perfecta para este día dedicado al amor.

Hello everyone, today is Saint Valentine’s Day, so I decorated a lamp in my house hanging some "vintage" images of Pamela Wiggins that my daughter and I have colored. To make it more enjoyable we have been listening to one of my favorite Spanish bands, "Amaral", today specifically this song: "I need you" perfect for this day dedicated to love.

En la exposición: "Recrea" en junio de 2019 en Granada, España. La Autora: Sara Hassan Elawad Mohamad ha hecho un vestido tricotando tiras hechas con bolsas de plástico. Su Título es: "Recuerdos de Antaño". Me parece un vestido original, parece de ganchillo, ¿verdad?

At the exhibition: "Recrea" in June 2019 in Granada, Spain. The Authoress: Sara Hassan Elawad Mohamad has made a knitted dress strips made with plastic bags. Her title is: "Memories of Yesteryear". I think it’s an original dress, looks like crochet, right?

En Copenhague, (Dinamarca) hay una "Ciudad Libre" llamada: "Christiania", el cuál es un barrio especial, parcialmente autogobernado, muy hippie y singular. Allí, he visto algunas esculturas curiosas, hoy os muestro a: "Green George" una escultura hecha con madera reciclada.

In Copenhagen, Denmark, there is a "Free City" called "Christiania", which one  is a special district, partially self-governed, very hippie and unique. There, I have seen some curious sculptures, today I show you: "Green George" a sculpture made with recycled wood.

Hipocampo hecho reusando unas cadenas de bicicleta - Hippocampus made reusing some bycicle chains

He visto en Junio de 2019, en la Exposición "Recrea" celebrada en la ciudad de Granada, España este trabajo llamado: Hipocampo. Su Autor es: Manuel Bravo Aguado, quién ha hecho un Hipocampo, similar a un Caballito de Mar reutilizando cadenas de bicicleta y otros trozos de metal. La foto la hice a contraluz, pero espero podáis apreciar esta escultura.

I have seen in June 2019, at the Exhibition "Recrea" held in the city of Granada, Spain this work called: Hippocampus. His Author is: Manuel Bravo Aguado, who has made a Hippocampus, similar to a sea horse reusing bicycle chains and other pieces of metal. I took the photo against the light, but I hope you can appreciate this sculpture.
