Feliz Año Nuevo y Búhos de cartón para evitar palomas - Happy New Year and Cardboard owls made to avoid the pigeons

Hoy se acaba este año 2020, un año triste y difícil debido a este terrible virus llamado Covid-19. Cambiando de tema, quisiera comentar que mis padres tienen problemas en su patio con las palomas que ensucian mucho con sus excrementos, hemos leído posibles soluciones no dañinas para estas aves, pero sí positivas, para que no molesten tanto al patio de mis padres. La idea es hacer un par de búhos con cartón y decorarlos con con papel de aluminio para que la luz reflejada por ellos espanten a las palomas. Aquí os muestro cómo han quedado estos búhos hechos por mi hija y sobrino con nuestra ayuda. Ahora esperamos que funcionen cómo es nuestro deseo.

Today ends this year 2020, a sad and difficult year due to this terrible virus called Covid-19. Changing the subject, I would like to comment that my parents have problems in their patio (yard) with pigeons that litter a lot with their excrement, we have read possible solutions not harmful to these birds, but positive, so that they do not bother so much to my parents' yard. The idea is to make a pair of owls with cardboard and decorate them with aluminum foil so that the light reflected by them frighten the pigeons. Here I show you how these owls made by my daughter and nephew with our help have turned out. Now we hope that they will work as we wish.

En la Peluquería Valverde de Granada, España, venden en su escaparate algunos objetos, entre ellos he  encontrado algunos pares de pendientes y unos pins, para mostrarlos han reutilizado una malla metálica en un marco de madera y un mantel individual de jacinto de agua (Eichhornia crassipes) . Me parecen unas ideas originales para mostrar y ordenar estos pares de pendientes y pins.

In the Hairdresser Valverde of Granada, Spain, sell in its shopwindows some objects, among them I have found some pairs of earrings and pins, to show them have reused a metal mesh in a wooden frame and an individual tablecloth of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes). I think some original ideas to show and order these pairs of earrings and pins.

 Quisiera enseñaros un sencillo Centro de Adviento, que he hecho para mi casa. He reutilizado una bandeja de cartón dorada, que se suelen usar en las Pastelerías, unas flores de tela de Pascua, Poinsettias y cuatro velas. Este es el resultado.

Una tarjeta giratoria para aprender sobre el día de la Constitución - A swivel card to learn about Constitution Day

Hoy, 06 de Diciembre, se celebra el Día de la Constitución de España. Es un día importante en mi país, por este motivo, mi hija en la Escuela ha hecho con dos círculos de papel superpuestos y un encuadernador metálico para unirlos, una tarjeta que gira para aprender algunos conceptos acerca de la Constitución. Me parece una idea divertida pensada por su Maestra, para niños de 7 años como mi hija.

Today, December 6th, is celebrated the Day of the Constitution of Spain. It is an important day in my country, for this reason, my daughter at her School has made with two overlapping paper circles and a metal binder to unite them, a card that turns to learn some concepts about the Constitution. I think it is a funny idea by her teacher for 7-year-olds children like my daughter.
