Galletas de aperitivo como pasador para el pelo - Snacks cookies as hair clip

Hace varios años que hice esta manualidad y ahora que tengo este blog quisiera mostrarla. Obviamente, no tengo fotos del proceso, pero espero poder explicarlo bien. Cogí algunas galletas de aperitivo y las barnicé con un spray especial (por ejemplo, ese tipo que se usa para la proteger la pintura al oleo) en un lugar bien ventilado. Después, las pegué con pegamento extrafuerte al pasador de metal y entre ellas. Se dejan secar por lo menos un día al aire libre. Podéis ver la parte delantera y trasera de este pasador para el cabello.

Several years ago, I made this craft and now that I have this blog I would like to show it. Obviously, I do not have photos of the process, but I hope to be able to explain it well. I took some snacks cookies and I varnished them with a special spray (for example, this type that is used to protect the oil paint) in a place well ventilated. Later, I stuck them with extra-strong glue to the metal pin and among them. They are left to dry at least one day outdoors. You can see the front and back part of this hair clip.

Había comprado una caja de quesos Belgas y Franceses, hace varias semanas. La limpié y guardé, porque quería reciclarla para algo útil. Hace pocos días, fuimos a la costa Belga y recogí algunas conchas. Entonces las he pegado para decorar y crear un servilletero de verano. Como curiosidad os comento, que es algo complicado pegar las conchas, porque ellas son irregulares como el borde de la caja y es necesario añadir mucho pegamento.

I had bought a box of Belgian and French cheeses, several weeks ago. I cleaned and guarded it, because I wanted to recycle it for something useful. Few days ago, we went to the Belgian coast and I gathered some shells. Then I have stuck them to decorate and to create a summer napkin holder. As curiosity I comment to you, that it is something complicated to stick the shells, because they are irregular as the edge of the box and to be necessary to add very much glue.

Secando Flores - Drying Flowers

Hace unos días, nos visitaron los tíos maternos de mi marido, K., y J., y nos dieron regalos para todos. Entre todos los regalos había este precioso ramo de flores. Antes de que se marchite totalmente, voy a secar algunas de sus flores. Para ello, le dejo un tallo pequeño, después los ato con una cinta elástica y por último, los voy a dejar colgados de manera vertical y boca abajo en un lugar oscuro y seco unos días. Cuándo ya estén preparados podré usarlos para alguna manualidad.

Few days ago, we were visited by aunt K., and uncle J.,of my husband, they gave to us some gifts. Among all the gifts there was this beautiful bouquet of flowers. Before it fades up totally, I am going to dry some   flowers of it. For it, I leave a small stem, later I tie some flower using an elastic and finally I am going to hang them in vertical position in a dark and dry place for few days. When already they are prepared I will be able to use them for some craft.

Quería identificar los alimentos en un almuerzo informal. Éste, consistía en que cada comensal se pudiera hacer sus sandwiches a su gusto. Para ello, puse, diferentes tipos de pan, embutidos, quesos y patés,  junto con unos tomates cherry y una ensalada. La manera más rápida de identificar cada elemento, en mi opinión, era usando Palillos para apertivos largos. Entonces, he puesto a cada uno un trozo de cms de washi tape y he escrito en Neerlandés el nombre del alimento. "Geitengouda Kaas" es "Queso Gouda de Cabra" y "Lunch worst" es "Salchicha de Almuerzo".

I  wanted to identify the food in an informal lunch. This one, was consisting of the fact that every guest could do her or his sandwiches to her or his taste. For it, I put, different types of bread, sausages, cheeses and pâtés, together with a few cherries tomatoes and a salad. The most rapid way of identifying every element, in my opinion, was using long Cocktail Stickes. Then, I have put to each one a chunk of cms of washi tape and I have written in Dutch the name of the food. "Geitengouda Kaas" is "Gouda Goat Cheese" y "Lunch worst" is "Lunch Sausage".  
Here I show you, as always, the materials, the moment to fold the washi tape and a couple of examples.

Preparando riego de mis plantas - Preparing irrigation of my plants

Antes de irnos unos pocos días de vacaciones, he preparado el riego de mis plantas reciclando unas botellas de plástico. He hecho un pequeño agujero en el tapón de cada botella para que el agua gotee poco a poco y pueda empapar la tierra de mis plantas. He clavado un poco el tapón en la tierra de la planta para facilitar el proceso de riego. Quisiera especificar que mis plantas son pequeñas, por eso este sistema funciona bien.

Before going away a few days of vacations, I have prepared the irrigation of my plants recycling a few bottles of plastic. I have done a small hole in the stopper of every bottle in order that the water leaks little by little and could wet my plants. I have fixed a bit the stopper in the land of the plant to facilitate the process of irrigation. I would like to specify that my plants are small, because of it this system works good.

Hace unos días, cuándo estaba de vacaciones en España se rompió la correa de mi reloj. Me compré otra nueva de cuero en color blanco en una tienda. Sin embargo, cuatro días después al darme un golpe en la muñeca al entrar a un autobus para ir a casa de mis padres se rompió, sin posibilidad de arreglo. Esa incidencia se la comenté a mi madre y ella que es muy resolutiva me hizo esta nueva correa en apenas unos minutos. Ella ha usado una cinta de raso marrón a la que ha cosido una goma elástica en el interior. No tenía la cámara para hacer fotos del proceso, pero sí puedo mostrar el resultado final. ¡¡Muchas gracias mamá!!

Few days ago, when I was of Holidays in Spain, the strap of my watch was broken. I bought myself a new other one of leather in white color in a shop. Nevertheless, four days later I have given to me in my wrist a strong blow to access to an autobus to go home of my parents and it broke, without possibility of arrangement. I told this incident to my mother and as she is a very decisive woman did this new strap to me in only few minutes. She has used a satin ribbon sewing an elastic rubber in its interior. I did not have my photo-camera to take photos of the process, but yes I can show the final result. Thank you very much mom!!

Móvil con motivos marinos para niños - Mobile with marine elements for children

Hoy  quisiera mostrar un móvil con motivos marinos que ha hecho mi sobrino en su escuela. Es algo sencillo y divertido para hacer como manualidad con los niños ahora en Verano. Solo se necesita un palo de unos 20 cms, cinta washi de color, hilo grueso o lana unos 30 cms en total (unos 10 cms por motivo), papel y lápices de colores. Primero, se dibujan unos motivos marinos, luego se pintan y se atan al palo pasando la cuerda por el agujero que hemos hecho en el dibujo con un perforador. Como paso último, se forran los extremos del palo con cinta washi. Esta es la foto de esta pequeña escultura colgante.

Today, I would like to show a mobile with marine elements that my nephew has made in his school. It is something simple and funny to make as craft with the children now in Summer.It is necessary a stick of approximately 20 cms, washi tape,  thread or wool approximately 30 cms in total, (10 cms per element), paper and pencils. First, you can draw few marine motives, you can paint them and  tie them to the stick  passing your thread for a hole made in each motive with a punch. As last step, you cover the ends of stick with washi tape. This is the picture of this small suspended sculpture.
