Día Nacional de Países Bajos con dulces y rosas de papel - Netherlands National's Day with sweets and paper roses

Hoy 27 de Abril, es día festivo nacional en los Países Bajos, se celebra el día del Rey. Muchos ciudadanos se visten con elementos de color naranja, porque es el color oficial del país y en las calles hay mercadillos de segunda mano, manualidades, actividades diferentes, música y un ambiente divertido y alegre. Yo me uno a esta fiesta desde la distancia y os muestro unos dulces famosos originarios de la ciudad de Deventer, que nos ha regalado mi cuñada y su pareja. Mi cuñada L., que es una persona muy creativa ha envuelto su regalo con celofán y lo ha decorado usando unas rosas de papel, plumas y cintas. Today April 27th, is a national holiday in the Netherlands, the King’s Day is celebrated. Many citizens dress with elements in orange color, because it is the official color of the country and in the streets there are flea markets, crafts, different activities, music and a funny and joyful atmosphere. I join this party from a distance and show you some famous biscuits originally from the city of Deventer, which my sister in law and her partner gave us. My sister in law L., who is a very creative person, has wrapped her gift with cellophane and decorated it using paper roses, feathers and ribbons. Decorado para obra de teatro para niños reciclando cajas de cartón - Set for a children's play recycling some cardboard boxes

Hoy 23 de abril, se celebra en España el día del Libro coincidiendo con San Jorge. Es un día especial para fomentar la lectura. El año pasado en la Escuela de nuestra hija, algunos padres de manera voluntaria, hicieron una obra de teatro basándose en la leyenda Polaca llamada: "El dragón de Wawel" (Smok Wawelski en Polaco). Es todavía una leyenda muy popular en la bonita ciudad de Cracovia, la cuál recomiendo visitar, porque es impresionante. Mi marido y yo participamos haciendo parte del decorado para la obra, concretamente un árbol y un arbusto, reciclando cajas grandes de cartón, que nos regalaron en una tienda de muebles. Primero, dibujamos el árbol y el arbusto, luego lo pintamos con la ayuda de nuestra hija usando pintura apta para niños y rotuladores para los detalles. Segundo, lo cortamos con un estilete. Tercero, haciendo unos pequeños cortes, ensamblamos unas láminas con otras y ¡listos! Aquí os muestro el proceso y el resultado final.

Today, April 23rd, the Book's day is celebrated in Spain coinciding with Saint George. It is a special day to encourage reading. Last year at our daughter’s school, some parents voluntarily did a play based on the Polish legend called: "The Dragon of Wawel" (Smok Wawelski in Polish). It is still a legend very popular in the beautiful city of Krakow, which one I recommend to visit, because it is impressive. My husband and I participated making a tree and a bush for the set, recycling some large cardboard boxes, which ones were given in a furniture store to us. First, we draw the tree and the bush, then we painted it with the help of our daughter using paint suitable for children and using some markers for details. Secondly, we cut it with a stiletto. Third, by making small cuts, we assemble some sheets with others and ready! Here I show you the process and the final result.

En el segundo año de: “Re-Crea. Exposición de Creación y Reciclaje”  que se celebró en la Casa de Zafra en la ciudad de Granada. España. Hice una foto de un trabajo cuyo título es: “ La gallina de páginas amarillas”, y su autor se llama: Jorge Juan Hernández López.
Esta simpática gallina está realizada con las famosas páginas amarillas dónde se escriben los números de teléfonos y que aún existen en varios países. Me ha gustado y es perfecta para mostrarla en estos días de Pascua. ¿Os gusta?

In the second year of: "Re-crea. Exhibition of Creation and Recycling" that was celebrated at the Casa de Zafra in the city of Granada. Spain. I took a photo of a work whose title is: "The hen of yellow pages", and its author is called: Jorge Juan Hernández López. This nice hen is made with the famous yellow pages where phone numbers are written and which still exist in several countries. I liked it and it is perfect to show it in these Easter days. Trajes reciclando papel, cuerda, blonda, plástico de burbujas y fieltro - Costumes recycling paper, rope, doily, bubble wrap and felt

En la Expo Re-Crea, que se celebró en el monumento Casa Zafra en Granada, España. He hecho fotos de unos trajes creados con materiales sencillos como: papel, cartón, blonda, cuerda, plástico de burbujas y fieltro. Son tres trabajos diferentes. El primer trabajo tiene el título: Dulcinea y sus autoras son: Patricia Ruiz, Olivia Muguerza, Marina Martínez y María Luisa Sánchez. El segundo tiene el título de: Jockey y su autora es: Patricia Ruiz Bracero. Y el tercero tiene el título de: Gotas de plástico y sus autoras son: Inmaculada Hidalgo, Paula Fernández e Irene Del Pino de EAS: Diseño de Moda. Todos me parecen magníficos muy creativos.

I have taken photos of costumes created with simple materials such as: paper, cardboard, doily, rope, bubble wrap and felt. There are three different jobs. The first work has the title: Dulcinea and their authors are: Patricia Ruiz, Olivia Muguerza, Marina Martínez and María Luisa Sánchez. The second has the title: Jockey and her author is: Patricia Ruiz bracero. And the third has the title: Plastic Drops (Gotas de plástico) and their authors are: Inmaculada Hidalgo, Paula Fernández and Irene Del Pino from EAS: Fashion Design. I find them all magnificent, very creative.

Reciclar Tapones de leche para crear un juego de expresiones - Recycling some milk caps to create a game of expressions

Cuándo mi hermana más pequeña era una niña recuerdo que le encantaba jugar con "El Señor Potato" y a mi otra hermana y a mí también. He reciclado unos tapones de leche, para crear un juego de expresiones similar al juego que tenía mi hermana cuándo era una niña, pero en esta ocasión es para mi hija. He usado una tabla de madera de medidas: 30 cm de largo x 20 cm de ancho. Después, he dibujado una nube, que he llamado: "Señora Nube", he pegado los tapones con mi pistola de silicona caliente y pintado con esmalte de uñas la nube, distintos tipos de ojos, de narices y de bocas. He elegido una nube porque en España se dice: "En Abril, aguas mil" que significa que este mes de abril es lluvioso. Espero os gusten mis fotos.

When my youngest sister was a child I remember she loved playing with "Mr. Potato" and my other sister and me too. I have recycled some milk caps to create a set of expressions similar to the game that my sister had wheb she was a child, but this time is for my daughter. I used a wooden board of measures of 30 cm long x 20 cm wide. Afterwards, I drew a cloud, which I called: "Mrs. Cloud", I glued the milk caps with my hot silicone gun and painted with nail polish the cloud, different types of eyes, noses and mouths. I have chosen a cloud because in Spain it is said: "April, showers" which means that this month of April is quite rainy. I hope you like my photos.

El Verano de 2018, visité la preciosa ciudad de Budapest en Hungría, que me gustó mucho. Allí hice estas fotos de estas bonitas coronas perfectas para decorar puertas o paredes. Estas coronas, están hechas con diferentes materiales como: flores secas, pot-pourri, conchas... ¡Maravillosas!

In summer 2018, I visited the beautiful city of Budapest in Hungary, which one I liked very much. There I took these pictures of these beautiful crowns perfect for decorating doors or walls. These crowns, are made with different materials like: dried flowers, pot-Pourri, shells...Wonderful!
